Hide&Seek

2022

In Hide & Seek, sculptures are scattered throughout the exhibition space, disrupting linear arrangement and fixed hierarchies. A transparent acrylic torso, constructed from stacked sheets, cannot stand without its pedestal—yet the pedestal, traditionally secondary, becomes more visually dominant than the sculpture itself, inverting their expected roles.

Objects such as a party blowout linking the mouth and anus, silicone limbs transitioning from boots to bare feet, and scattered fragments like wigs, chairs, and socks blur bodily boundaries.

These elements connect, expand, and rearrange, creating new relationships between two-dimensional and three-dimensional space, subject and object, cause and effect, and departure and arrival.

By shifting connections and placing elements in parallel, the work dismantles existing dynamics, emphasizing transformation, instability, and continuous change.
